Our client is looking for someone with a strong work ethic with the ability to produce accurate work to strict project deadlines, knowledge of writing technical reports and a working understanding of PLC programming and control logic. The Senior Electrical Engineer will collaborate on broad range of projects, from conception through to commissioning. Other duties of the Senior Electrical Engineer will include: Lead/Undertake Electrical Engineering Design which includes production, design and modification of schematics, loop drawings, cable routing, panel layout drawings, block cable diagrams and motor starter panels. Electrical functional design of control system. Support production and oversee work of electrical installation engineers Drafting of scope of works, bill of materials, termination schedules, equipment data sheets, cables schedules, labelling schedules, proof testing documents and cable transfer documents. Ensuring as-built electrical documents are complete for factory acceptance testing. Commissioning Support To be successful in this Senior Electrical Engineer role we are looking to speak with Engineers with the following: Degree Qualified in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics Engineer or similar Experience in Industrial Electrical Engineering Possess knowledge of Electrical Engineering & Standards Experience in designing electrical systems Knowledge of Functional Safety Assessments and SIL verification would be ideal Experience in working in Hazardous Areas in compliance with ATEX and IECEx standards would be advantageous This is an exciting opportunity to work for a company within a high growth, profitable market who have a genuinely interested in your personal development and growth. Your new company Is a boutique Building Services consultancy that has been on a strong growth trajectory since it was created 12 years ago. They are now approaching 30 strong in London and have the pipeline to continue growing and have recently moved into a brand-new office space to accommodate this. They tend to work on a variety of interesting projects within the Heritage, Life Sciences, Commercial and Residential sectors. They also put a massive focus on work-life balance and offer a 9-day fortnight schedule in which you can pick a day off every 2 weeks and, ultimately, it works out as around 50 days total holiday a year. Your new role It is as a Senior Electrical Engineer who can work on the engineering design, management of projects and teams, across multiple multi-million pound projects. You will support the directors by acting as the design lead on projects, promoting design excellence, and you will mentor and develop the skills of the engineers in their team. You will be involved in the conceptual and detailed design of projects within the Heritage, Commercial and Life Sciences sectors. What you'll need to succeed You will have a strong technical core competence and background in project delivery. In addition, you will have a broad understanding of the principles of building services and other related building design disciplines and a desire to mentor and lead a team of Engineers. You must also be- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering/Building Services. Proven experience (5 years) in electrical engineering design within the building services industry. Experience leading junior engineers. Comfortable in a client-facing role and willing to contribute to business development activities. Experience leading teams on large-scale and often complex projects. Experience in the delivery of all phases of a project from inception to completion, but specifically, design and quality control focused and dealing directly with the customer and project teams. Experience and awareness of major digital engineering tools, such as CAD/Revit, and Amtech. You will also have experience of delivering projects in a BIM environment. Excellent interpersonal skills Ideally Chartered or willing to work towards.
