As an Account Manager you will manage existing clients and inbound inquiries, deliver the highest standard of service to clients, conduct regular visits and regular contact with clients. You will be responsible for achieving turnover and profitability budgets. This is a great opportunity for someone from a Account Manager, Relationship Manager, Internal Sales, Territory Manager, Area Sales Manager, Field Sales Manager or similar role. THE ROLE: Working with existing clients, building and maintaining a high standard of service. Pitch to clients, prepare and present presentations. Provide regular forecasts. Optimising profit and increase profit on an ongoing basis. Attend monthly sales meetings, present forecast and monthly sales overview. Manage your time accordingly to ensure that clients are regularly visited and contacted. Ensure records are maintained and up to date on the company database. Update notes onto data base with feedback following client visits. THE PERSON: A Degree in Chemistry or equivalent is desirable. Experience within Health and Nutrition, Chemistry, Chemical, Food and Health, Life Sciences, Biology or similar is a bonus. Must be able to drive. Effective communication skills in person and over the phone. Must be able to present presentations in front of an audience. Strong relationship building skills. This company are a leader within the hire market, and specifically target many of their products and services to hire/rental clients, where they have become adept at providing long and short term solutions to fit their clients' needs. This role will be responsible for developing this client base further by nurturing existing accounts with strong account management skills, as well as actively seeking opportunities with new accounts in the area. Most importantly the job holder will need to be proactive and solution orientated, and be able to seek opportunities to leverage accounts when needed. Your Role and Responsibilities While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to: Managing and developing a portfolio of customer accounts with proactive sales activity, using a variety of available channels Promoting account growth in-line with business objectives, ensuring to nurture accounts and form longstanding relationships Acting as the point of contact for existing and new accounts, ensuring that key information is provided and that customer queries are dealth with in a timely, helpful and proactive manner Consistently identifying new opportunities for business development within the area, working with cross-functional teams to support customers and close deals Creating sales reports on current sales and pipeline for business visibility Supporting the inbound call team with customer enquiries Researching and producing customer proposals and agreements Providing ad-hoc support for orders at the trade counter Managing contracts for hire sales to ensure these are in-line with company policies What you will need to Apply: Applicants must have previous demonstratable experience within a sales account management role, where the individual has managed multiple new and existing accounts, leveraged sales opportunities and conducted business development. Experience within the hire market would be beneficial. Excellent communication skills are key to this role, alongside good stakeholder management capabilities. A strong understanding of IT and sales platforms is also needed, as well as a proactive and problem solving mindset. What you will get in Return: The candidate who finds themselves successful within this position would be entitled to a starting salary of up to £35,000 which would be dependent on previous experience and market exposure.
