They experience low turnover, which says a lot about the business as a whole, and they are looking for someone to develop, so whilst experience of accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations is a must, experience beyond this can be taught. An example of some of the duties that the successful candidate will be responsible for:- Supporting in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts. Producing accruals, prepayments and journals. Assisting with cashflow forecasting. Reconciling bank statements and identifying and logging fixed assets. Assisting with nominal ledger including processing journals and month-end adjustments. Performing balance sheet reconciliations and VAT returns. They are looking to recruit a Senior Finance Business Partner who will own the P&L and lead on all things Finance for a brand new and growing business unit and service line within this already established and highly successful private sector business, who primarily supply into the public sector. This role is primarily home based, but would require you to travel to offices in Yorkshire and London on occasions. Key responsibilities of the Senior Finance Business Partner role: Full financial ownership of the business unit's P&L, ensuring consistency across all departments. Building key relationships with Exco members and the SLT, influencing decision making. Provide strong commercial analysis, via commercial modelling techniques, whilst driving best value decision making. Keeping financial models up-to-date and monitor performance, whilst continuing to evolve scenario outcomes. Lead the monthly performance reviews and ensuring financials and KPI's are accurately represented. Preparation and some review of the management accounts, whilst presenting these in a timely and accurate manner. Ownership of the Budgeting and Forecasting for the business unit. Responsibility for communicating monthly financial position to the relevant managers and budget holders. Developing and maintaining key relationships both with internal and external stakeholders. Requirements of the role: Must be either ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified Must have proven experience post qualification A proven track record of providing effective financial advice at a senior level. Management accounting experience in a large and complex organisation.
