Reporting to our BMS Controls Associate Director the purpose of this role is to provide technical expertise for BMS and ensure the necessary controls and project outputs are Best in Class and fully meet the client's technical brief. The ideal candidate will have a strong BMS background, with experience in the integration and convergence of other systems such as Access, Security, Fire, and Client IT networks, and a strong understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Building Services Systems. The role To act as a Senior Power Systems Engineer for a multi-disciplined team. To provide sound technical, design support on MV and HV engineering disciplines, to ensure project requirements and clients' specifications are fully met. Apply initiative and ownership to all key areas of responsibility. Key accountabilities Contribute to the development and growth of the company by identifying new opportunities and potential areas for growth and also maintaining and developing existing client relationships. Act as part of a multi-disciplinary design team to ensure successful preparation and delivery on project objectives, including providing technical support. Produce budgets for clients based on their specifications and monitor spend to ensure that, as far as possible, projects are delivered within their budget and schedule. Liaise with the Client and external design teams as necessary for the successful delivery of projects. Monitor and address own training and development requirements. Keep up to date with technical developments, national and international standards and legislative requirements related to the discipline. Compile specifications, drawings and relevant Contract documents and maintain the required technical quality of work, ensuring that designs comply with the relevant codes, standards, regulations and procedures. Provide power systems engineering services design to buildings and infrastructure. Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the change control process, maintain planning and cost control on all scopes. ? Represents the team/group/profession/discipline at external meetings. Responsible for monitoring budgets and controlling expenditure to meet financial targets for own areas. Visit UK and overseas sites and factories to undertake inspections, factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests etc. Skills & experience Has a relevant degree in engineering, or equivalent qualification, or sufficient suitable experience Able to demonstrate extensive experience of a wide range of technical areas Technical knowledge of resilient control engineering relating to power systems Track record of having worked on a variety MV and HV designs and the delivery of small to large scale projects in a variety of sectors, from concept designs through to completion, able to execute power engineering activities within the budget and schedule, whilst maintaining technical integrity

The role Improving the understanding of BMS controls and bridge the knowledge gap between integrating the various disciplines products onto the BMS. This will lead to a robust co-ordination process. This is a hands-on role, working closely with local leaders and engineering teams, clients and other specialist consultancies. Your recommendations, conversations and plans will be informed by close proximity to both internal and external data and insights to ensure that we are providing best practice support to our teams Key accountabilities Preparation of BMS design documents, drawings, and specifications. Attend client, internal & external meetings/workshops/presentations. Attending off-site inspections and witnessing Collaborate with both client and internal subject matter experts (SME's) to develop design. Liaise with the project teams to ensure a highquality coordinated design is produced Presenting the WIP design at regular milestones to the client and their SMEs Attending tender interviews and tender reviews Review and comment on contractor tender and technical submittals. Assisting with the deliverables against programme expectations Continually work to achieve innovative output driving technical output to be of the highest standard Ensuring BMS/Controls elements are delivered to the highest technical standards Organising and planning works to ensure optimal and effective project delivery Reviewing and commenting on operation and maintenance manuals Skills & experience A strong BMS background, with experience in the integration and convergence of other systems such as Access, Security, Fire, and Client IT networks. A strong understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Building Services Systems. A practical approach to the application of design standards and certifications during project design and delivery. A strong desire to influence the drive for continuous improvement, with attention to detail. A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work on their own initiative as well as working within global and local teams. ? Good understanding of sustainable building design, renewable and low carbon technology. Understanding and experience with IT networking and associated technologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to build credible internal/external relationships at pace, developing and maintaining over time. Ideally experience as a BMS consultant.
