A creative and fast paced events management company, based in Manchester City Centre, are keen to hire an HR Manager? You will manage all day to day HR queries including; payroll updates, holiday/leave queries, timesheet issues, performance issues, compassionate leave and sickness requests. You will also manage recruitment and freelancer management, along with all team training and team development within the business. This role requires someone with previous experience working at a HR Manager, who has strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and excellent communication skills. The position is full time, with 1 day per week working from home and the salary available is circa £40k depending upon experience. What will you be doing as a HR Manager? Play a visible role within the senior management team, attend weekly, and monthly meetings and report in to the wider leadership team Manage day to day HR - queries, payroll updates, holiday/leave queries, timesheet issues, performance issues, compassionate leave and sickness Build on and roll out the people strategy Manage performance reviews, redundancies or other HR related matters Record sickness and resolve sickness issues Onboard new starters Undertake all new starter admin Undertake all leaver admin Succession planning with each department head Career development support and annual sessions Lead on DEIB initiatives and diversity in recruitment Manage long service updates to holiday, pension and awards Support maternity/paternity leave with holiday accrual, leave dates, SMP and risk assessments Undertake exit interviews for all leavers and report on any relevant patterns Provide mental health support and signpost to wider services as necessary Maintain benefits offered and advise on updates where necessary Manage retention, collate and report on retention figures to leadership team Maintain PDP process and documents Pension changes and updates where required Manage recruitment and be the main point of contact for all requirements Freelancer management Manage all team training and team development within the business Main contact for payroll queries Manage time-sheeting for billing, recruitment costs and office spend We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience: Previous experience of working as a HR Manager Experience in Learning and development and managing all team training Experience managing recruitment Previous financial management experience Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail Proactive attitude Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). As the HR Director, you will be starting in a standalone role day one where you will be responsible for building out the HR Function, advising the board and colleagues on day to day HR issues as well as give legally correct advice as and when required.
