We are looking for a Service Engineer to join an experienced Construction and Plant Machinery division, based in Ashford. Our Client is a friendly, family-owned business that supply and service Agricultural, Ground care, Construction and Arboricultural machinery to clients across the south of England. They are also the UK's largest Kubota Dealership. You would be working Monday - Friday, Day shifts, 40 hours a week with the opportunity to pick up overtime on the weekends paid at £1.5x and for Sundays £2x. This role will require you to service and repair Construction and Plant equipment and machinery. Your time will be split between field and on-site work. You will be provided with a fully expensed vehicle and fuel card. Our client would also help develop your skills with a training plan at Kubota UK. Previous experience within a similar industry will help you excel in this role however product training is provided. You should have a good understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, electrics, and hydraulics. It is essential that you have a valid UK Driving Licence. You will be required to work 7am till 7pm or 7pm till 7am, 4 on 4 off. About the Role: As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the site, which serves as a vital hub for transit movements of goods in the UK. From overseeing repairs and maintenance to installing essential equipment, you'll be at the forefront of keeping our premises running efficiently. You will be required to carry out or oversee the repair, maintenance or installation of all plant, equipment, systems and building structure/fabric associated with the premises, in line with best practice, statutory compliance and service level agreements. About the site The work location acts as a starting and ending for transit movements of goods from the UK. The site includes parking areas for HGVs and other vehicles as well as security measures and facilities to enable the checking of vehicles and goods entering and exiting the site. Main responsibilities The post holder must have a multi skilled approach to a wide range of work of other trades outside your core trade skills, and be able to undertake work in a safe and effective manner, complying with all relevant safety legislation and procedures. The multi skilled approach will require crossover beyond that of Electrical/Mechanical into the areas of general building repairs. The ability to organise and prioritise own workload, where required, and to work with minimal supervision and also have the ability to work successfully as part of a team. To provide cover for other Multi-Skilled engineers in cases of annual leave, sickness and vacancies. At all times carry company communication devices (Mobile phone) to facilitate immediate response to emergencies during core hours and when on call. Communicate with colleagues, Clients and their representatives in a polite and courteous manner at all times to ensure a high level of customer care. Keep service delivery managers up to date, at all times, with engineering and building issues that may affect their service delivery. Review the stores and identify critical and regularly used items, which should be held as 'standard stock items' in the future.
