Hourly Rate: £13.00 Location: Shipley, BD18 Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (potential for permanent) We are seeking a Production Technician with warehouse or production experience for an immediate start. This role offers a competitive hourly rate and the chance to work in a dynamic environment with the potential for the position to become permanent. Day-to-day of the role: Assist and support the supervisory team in identifying quality problems and providing effective solutions. Train and develop new technicians, fostering a culture of multi-skilling within the Fabrication Facility. Ensure the correct materials/components are issued for tasks and that appropriate equipment and tools are available. Maintain production and inspection records, including PUWER, and ensure work is always adequately identified. Uphold high standards of housekeeping and maintain a safe, clean working environment. Follow Standard Operating Procedures and complete production and inspection records, signing off all jobs once completed. Manage individual workload and collaborate with line managers to ensure timely completion. Book repairs and maintenance of plant and equipment as required and notify Operation Managers of any manufacturing delays. Accurately complete work order documentation and accompany the product through the production cycle. Comply with all health and safety standards and assist with work in various production departments as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency with hand tools and assembly. Experience operating various production machines and awareness of legal legislation. Knowledge of health and safety standards and the ability to work well with others. Product knowledge and attention to detail. Enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills. Initiative and ownership of the role. Experience with CNC Guillotine, Press brake, rollers, bonding. Understanding of machinery, tooling changes, and experience in complex steel metal designs and fabrication. Direct sector experience is advantageous. Forklift Truck licence is preferable. Support additional sales activities such as exhibitions, events and site tours where applicable. Requirements: Eligible to live and work in the UK. Ability to travel circa 60% as some overseas training and site visits may be required for training, exhibitions, management meetings. Experience within heavy automotive, Transport or Logistics sector. Full Clean UK driving licence. Self-motivated and able to thrive in a result driven environment.
