The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they achieve their full potential. Day to Day of the role: Oversee the day-to-day operation of the school's SEN policy. Coordinate provision for students with SEN, working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies. Advise on the graduated approach to providing SEN support. Lead the development of high-quality SEN learning strategies. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN provision through regular reviews. Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents, and other agencies. Ensure that SEN records are accurately maintained and kept up to date. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a substantial teaching experience. National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (NASENCO) or equivalent qualification. A thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and Equality Act. Proven experience in SEN teaching and coordination. Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills. A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to empathise with children and their families.
