Planning Engineer 6 Month Contract (Initial) Hybrid Working Porthmadog, Wales Pontoon is an employment consultancy. They are currently looking for a Planning Engineer to join them for an initial 6-month contract. However, there may be scope for extension or even a more permanent opportunity. Purpose: We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to work on a major electricity transmission project near Porthmadog. This project is scheduled to run until 2029. Key Accountabilities: Monitor contractor performance against agreed baselines. Evaluate monthly contractor programme submissions and provide appropriate recommendations. Propose and develop mitigation and recovery strategies. Review compensation event submissions including impacted programmes. Progress owned activities, such as land and consenting requirements. Maintain a regular presence on site to work with both internal and external stakeholders. Key Skills & Requirements: Experienced Planning Engineer with significant construction industry experience (electricity transmission industry experience would be beneficial, but not essential). Significant experience of using Primavera P6 planning software. Experience of using NEC forms of contract, including programme clauses, early warnings, compensation events etc. Experience of using Earned Value management Full driving licence Location: This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to work from the clients Porthmadog site at least 3 days a week.
