We are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant with experience in a manufacturing setting to be employed immediately on a permanent basis for an established company in the Folkestone area. You will need your own transportation for this role due to the location of the office. This is a great opportunity for someone with financial planning and analysis, and cost accounting experience to be a part of a small but friendly team. The key responsibilities include: Sales reporting. Calculating commissions and bonus. Review accounting entries have been posted to the correct ledger. Perform checks on sales pricing used and report on margins. Analyse departmental spending against budgets. Assist with annual forecasting and business plan financials. Posting journals at month-end. Reconciliations for balance sheet accounts. Oversee the management accounts for the Dubai office and provide reporting. Support with the external audit and provide information to the audit team. Look after company vehicles and maintain insurance and toll accounts. Assist with producing the VAT returns. Overseeing purchase ledger, adhering to cut off and posting accruals. Produce any ad-hoc reporting requested by other managers or business leaders. To be considered for this role, you will need: Competent IT skills particularly with Microsoft Excel. (recorded appropriately) To ensure that Health and Safety and Quality procedures are followed, ensuring that standards are maintained i.e. work in a tidy, clean, safe, structured and professional manner. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE The Maintenance Engineer will need to have a background in the food or FMCG manufacturing industries. You will also have: Extensive experience of working in an automated FMCG environment. Extensive experience of working with processing and packaging machinery. Mechanical qualification City & Guilds or NVQ L3 equivalent. Electrical qualification City & Guilds or NVQ L3 equivalent. 18th Edition electrical qualification is ideal. Experience of troubleshooting and resolving PLC & Robotic issues Detailed experience of carrying out reactive, planned, preventative and predictive maintenance. Working knowledge of leading continuous improvement and SMED projects. Knowledge of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
