Adecco - Specialist Markets have an exclusive opening for a Head of Procurement to join our client's organisation based in Cheshire. As part of fast-paced and rapidly growing FMCG client, we are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to join their organisation. You will play a vital role in directing, managing and coordinating their Procurement Division. If you have Procurement background at a Senior Level with exceptional leadership skills, we would love to hear from you. Reporting to the FD, you will support team of 11 to meet their potential and perform to their best. You will be responsible for overseeing the direct and indirect expenditure across the business. This will involve developing procurement strategies, planning and procedure, optimising expenditure and delivering value, whilst ensuring ethical trading practices and sustainability initiatives are met. Accountabilities To lead the design, definition and implementation of the strategy and roadmap for procurement. Determine company-wide purchasing and procurement procedures and systems, including legally compliant formal contract/tendering processes. Create and support results-driven, high-performing procurement team. Initiate improvement projects and supplier collaborations to generate value for the business. Source opportunities to engage profitable suppliers. Negotiate and secure the most advantageous terms. Improve spend controls, management reporting and KPIs. Establish risk management protocols for ongoing supply contracts and agreements. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for procuring, goods and services, reducing costs and supporting business sustainability initiatives. Relationship Management and ways of working with key strategic suppliers to ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of goods/services that meet business requirements and deliver incremental financial benefits. Oversee contract negotiations, tenders and SLAs. Ensure supply agreements and or price schedules are communicated internally and updated to drive Procure to Pay adherence Qualification, Skills, Knowledge and Experience Educated to Degree or Masters level or equivalent in relevant subject such as Supply Chain, Business, Finance , Engineering, Logistics. Manufacturing industry experience. Ideally CIPS Qualified/Part Qualified (or equipvlent) Demonstrated experience gained within FMCG Comprehensive knowledge of Contract law, EU and UK procurement legislation. Knowledge of managing ongoing third party, outsourced contracts. Demonstrable experience in Procurement and Supply chain operations with strong negotiating skills. Experience of procuring manufacturing raw materials, outsourced services and business / corporate services Strong relationship builder with suppliers and stakeholders Good knowledge of Lean principals Experience of supporting Sustainability Initiatives. Demonstrates Leaderships skills - driven to develop, manage and motivate high performing teams. Experience of Managing Procurement Team at Senior level Direct experience of establishing and fostering a culture of teamwork, continuous professional development, inclusion and high performance to enable team members to meet their potential and perform of their best. Class 1 (C E) HGV Driver We are working with a client who is seeking for more HGV Class 1 (Cat C E) drivers to add to their team, completing domestic loads, curtainsider trucks with forklift tipping. Main responsibilities: Being accountable for the safe and timely delivery of goods on the vehicle Being responsible for securing the goods in the vehicle and unloading at each drop Perform daily checks on the vehicle and trailer and keep the vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations Experience: - Class 1 (Cat C E) driving experience (1 year minimum for insurance purposes) - Valid CPC - Clean driving record Location: Ellesmere Port Salary: £15 - £18 PH, 10 hours minimum paid per shift, breaks paid Holiday pay accrued separately Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, alternative days (approx.. 0600 start) and nights (approx.. 1800 start) Weekend shifts available.
