Design and improve manufacturing layouts to optimise workflow and productivity. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve production issues and improve product quality. Strong background and experience in electronics manufacturing processes, including surface mount technology (SMT), through-hole assembly, PCB assembly, and testing. Provide technical support to manufacturing operations, troubleshooting problems as they arise. Develop and maintain documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing protocols. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement within the manufacturing process. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including health and safety guidelines. Train and mentor production staff on new processes and equipment. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within the electronics industry. Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Team Leader is responsible for organising the team and working closely with the Manufacturing Lead, Production Engineers and Machine Operators with the set-up, maintenance and operation of the surface mount machinery, ensuring time, cost and quality requirements are met.
