An opportunity has arisen to recruit a Trainee / Junior CAD Technician, to work with the Design / Technical team. The successful applicant will be able to: Produce 2D CAD layouts from design sketches created by other team members. Modify customer drawings and layouts. Import manufacturer's information into working drawings (blocks and schedules). Liaise with Engineers / Project Managers for drawing requirements, plotting drawings for issue and recording all drawing information received from outside sources. Ensure the correct level and accuracy of technical content on all projects. Work on a variety of projects within the commercial and industrial fields. Contribute to the delivery of projects within the team and within program. The applicant must possess: Knowledge of AutoCAD gained through qualification. Building Services experience (desirable). Knowledge of VRF, ductwork and pipework layouts (desirable). Self-motivation and capacity to work to deadlines and timescales. An organised approach and positive outlook with the ability to work on own initiative. Good verbal, written and IT communication skills. Other attributes: Ability to liaise with client's operational staff and present a professional image. Salary £25,000 to £30,000 depending on experience.
