Production Manager Baldock Up to £40,000 DOE SF Recruitment are recruiting for a production Manager to work for our manufacturing client based in Baldock, Hertfordshire. The principle purpose of the role is to provide leadership and development of the Manufacturing functions to ensure that output level and quality of products meet the requirements of the business and it's customers. Duties & Responsibilities: - Health & Safety in the workplace - Direct Management and Development of all Production staff reporting to the position - Planning of all Production activities to ensure On Time Delivery of client requirements as agreed with the Operations & Logistics Manager - Quality of products and performance of resources in the manufacturing departments - Gathering and reporting of manufacturing data to the business - Performance of the manufacturing department against Budget - Monitoring of product quality and development of initiatives to improve quality and output - Stock-counting. This to include introduction of initiatives to reduce the value of stock required to be held onsite / offsite - Introduction and development of Lean / Six Sigma methodology in the workplace - Process review & improvement / automation of processes and procedures - Other duties and responsibilities as required by the Operations & Logistics Manager Qualifications/ Role requirements: - Referenceable experience in a similar position with similar responsibilities - Recognised qualification or training in Lean / Six Sigma operations (preferred) - Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements in the workplace and experience of managing Health & Safety within manufacturing departments - Setting of KPI's & initiatives to improve performance against them - Microsoft Office skills (Word / Excel / Outlook) to minimum intermediate level - Experience in a Quality control environment / systems such as ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 - Demonstrable man management skills including staff appraisals / training / motivation Personal Attributes: Well presented & Communicative Able to influence and motivate those working within the teams Flexible, able to cope with changing requirements Continually seeks to enhance / improve self, others and processes at all times Capacity for multi-tasking Follows processes and procedures reliably, has ability to scrutinise / develop / make improvements to them Works to deadlines effectively - and communicate when unable to do so Willing to learn / develop personal skills
