Our client are a leading manufacturing company based in Cramlington and are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer for their team. The purpose of the role is to provision of maintenance cover to the production departments, plant machinery and site facilities to ensure that equipment is kept in good working order and that breakdowns are attended to in a timely manner. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE) - Actively support and align decisions and actions with OHSE requirements. o Demonstrate meaningful involvement by integrating OHSE into day-to-day life. o Actively participate in all OHSE training. o Ensure compliance with best practice, legislative requirements and all company's initiatives in relation to Health and Safety. o Support and carry out risks assessments and inform your Supervisor of any new activity that needs to be performed within the area. Housekeeping - Maintain levels of housekeeping and hygiene as expected by customers and defined by the company. o Take part in 6S activities as required and ensure your working area is always clean, tidy and safe Preventive maintenance o Conduct preventive maintenance activities in a timely manner, as defined in the maintenance schedule, including: Maintaining machinery to OEM specification Identifying parts requiring further attention Recording work carried out Control maintenance tools, store and equipment Work within ATEX regulations Reactive maintenance o Use problem solving techniques to deal with breakdowns o Electrical fault finding, testing and repairs o Work within ATEX regulations o Prioritise breakdowns o Engineer out recurring issues o Supervise contractors working on reactive maintenance Site projects o Participate in projects to design, trial and implement improvements highlighted by the Management Team o Lead projects to design, trial and implement improvements highlighted by the Management Team, working within a defined budget Quality systems - Operate within/to prescribed quality standards and systems at all times as defined by the Company and customer requirements. o Paperwork - Ensure that all paperwork is completed as and when required whilst maintaining prescribed levels of accuracy. o Support the improvement of internal controls by participating in the development of SOPs, reference documents and forms. o Participate in audits (internal or external). Flexibility - Maintain a flexible approach to work. Continuous improvement - Actively engage in Continuous Improvement, either within personal performance or participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives at the site. Training - Support development of new apprentices and co-workers through their own training and participate actively in training programmes as and when required. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS 1. Formal Qualifications and Experience Recognised apprenticeship 18th Edition wiring regulations Experience of working in a production environment Operate MEWP - preferred but not essential, training will be provided PASMA trained - preferred but not essential, training will be provided Working at height - preferred but not essential, training will be provided 2. Specific Skills and Abilities a. Working knowledge of AC/DC motors and drives - Bosch Rexroth, Lenze, Eurotherm, etc b. Working knowledge of PLC's - Siemens, Allen Bradley etc c. Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems d. Computer literate including use of Office tools e. Attention to detail f. Problem solving g. Understanding of machinery and manufacturing process h. Man Management i. Good time keeping j. Good communication skills k. Team player l. Meet deadlines and targets m. Ability to build strong working relationships with relevant persons n. Self-motivated o. Dynamic and open mind oriented p. Pragmatic q. Flexible and able to adapt to a fast-changing environment This role will be covered by 2 shifts and you must be happy to work both: 6am - 2pm 2pm - 10pm
Due to a fantastic period of growth we are looking for a new member of our commercial team to support our business winning and execution activities! You will take responsibility for the management and administration of the commercial contract from the start of the commercial process during tender stage through to close out of projects, ensuring that at all times the company's governance and any contract specific requirements are adhered to. You will be responsible for: CRM Management - Work with project managers and commercial leads to ensure the updating and maintenance of records within the CRM system. Liaise with clients to gain updates on tender progression and work collaboratively both internally and externally to progress opportunities CRM Insights - Use CRM MI to understand conversion rates on tenders and work alongside senior project managers and commercial leads to ensure we are tendering the right jobs Pipeline Modelling - Drive pipeline. Utilise information within the CRM database to inform sales strategy and generate Management Information (MI) for key stakeholders Bid Management - Presenting to clients and assist in pricing opportunities with senior project managers and commercial leads.
