RM Recruit is pleased to partner with a Tamworth-based organisation in their search for a full-time, permanent Finance Manager. The role offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement, with two days in the office and three days remote.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely execution and reporting of the organization's financial activities.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly management accounts, budget reports, and forecast monitoring documents for assigned schools, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial goals.
- Execute or support detailed month-end and year-end procedures, including the reconciliation and clearing of purchase orders, management of prepayments and accruals, income tracking, and precise calculation of monthly outturns, to maintain financial integrity.
- Lead strategic monthly meetings with Head Teachers, HR, and key stakeholders to review and discuss budget management, forecasting, and financial planning, fostering collaboration and informed decision-making.
- Develop and prepare detailed annual budgets and forecasts, providing critical financial insights to support long-term planning and resource allocation.
- Conduct thorough supplier evaluations and perform essential back-office checks to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Stay actively informed about the latest educational developments, assessing their potential impact on the Trust's financial and operational strategies.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a junior staff member, guiding their professional development and enhancing team performance.
The ideal candidate will be ACCA or CIMA qualified, or part-qualified, with relevant experience in a similar role. You should have excellent analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy. Proven experience in leading a team, preparing monthly management accounts, and building strong relationships is essential. The ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and meet tight deadlines is crucial.
