Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Utilise Solidworks to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.
- Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to optimise designs and ensure structural integrity.
- Develop and evaluate prototypes, testing and refining designs for performance and manufacturability.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to support the transition from design to production.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in the development of mechanical systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and stay abreast of emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, with a focus on Solidworks and FEA.
- Strong proficiency in 3D modeling, drawing creation, and simulation.
- Familiarity with the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to production.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience within automation manufacturing - Essential.
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
