Working for a leading provider of innovative power solutions across the UK and Europe that specialise in keeping you connected, by supplying, installing, and maintaining their emergency power systems.

As the Electrical Generator Engineer, you will be required to install, service, and maintain generators, using state-of-the-art diagnostics to complete planned and preventative maintenance across various sites.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of electrical generator systems ranging from basic AMF to complex peak looping and paralleling systems, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a dedication to delivering top-notch customer service.

The opportunity is based in Cannock with travel required across the Midlands and South of the UK, with cover required 1 week out of 8 to support the business call-out rota.

What we need from you?

  • Electrical installation of all control and power cabling between the generator, changeover panels, switchboards, and ancillary equipment including fuel controls, louver controls, and BMS controls.
  • Testing and installation to the NICEIC requirements and recording all test results.
  • On-site testing of the installation to clients' specifications and any associated fault finding and modification work, including reprogramming.
  • Generator servicing and maintenance across various sites including load testing, commissioning, fault finding, and electrical repairs.

What you need to succeed?

  • Previous experience working with diesel generators or within the CHP industry.
  • NVQ Level 3, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering
  • City and Guilds 2832 - 18th Edition IEE Regulations
  • City and Guilds 2395/2396 or 2392/2391 - Inspecting and Testing
  • Competence with DSE, COMAP, and Woodward control panels would be an advantage.
  • Ability to complete the call-out rota approximately 1 week out of 8.
