A leading Lloyd's Syndicate seek a Claims Adjuster, to handle an interesting mix of Marine and Specie claims. There will be excellent training on offer and lots of scope for long term career progression. You will be encouraged to build strong relationships with underwriters and brokers in the line of business.
Applicants should have prior Marine and/or Specie claims handling experience. This will be a hybrid role.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop a thorough understanding of the claims within the Marine portfolio.
Ensure that sufficient financial provisions, in accordance with the reserving philosophy, are held for all claims within the portfolio and reported appropriately.
Proactively adjust claims within their claims authority and in accordance with the company claims manual; ensuring and delivering the very highest service to all our customers by effectively driving claims through to resolution.
Nurture and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders; in particular with the underwriters and actuaries for the relevant classes of business.
Instruct and proactively work with panel lawyers, adjusters, and experts to ensure the best outcomes whilst controlling costs and reducing claims leakage.
