Salary: £32,000 Per Annum
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Assistant Transport Manager on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Transport Manager in overseeing the daily Transport operations of the transport department.
- Ensuring compliance with the undertakings of the Operator's Licence, as outlined by the Traffic Commissioner.
- Managing and supporting two Traffic Planners who will report directly to the Assistant Transport Manager.
- Handling administrative tasks related to the transport department.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the haulage transport industry and its regulations.
- Proven track record of success in a similar role within the transport industry.
- Conflict Management experience.
- People Management experience.
- Organisational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to effectively manage administrative tasks.
