Location: OL1 Area, Oldham

Salary: £23,500 - £24,979 per annum (full time / full year)

Hours: Full-Time, 37 hours per week

Role Overview: As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting students' emotional and behavioural needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural and emotional challenges.

Develop and implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual student needs.

Foster positive relationships with students to build trust and encourage positive behaviour.

Monitor and record students' progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.

Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Assist in the development of personalised support plans for students.

Promote and model positive behaviour and respect within the school community.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience working with children or young people in an educational or support setting.

Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Empathy, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Relevant qualifications in education, counselling, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
