Finance Manager

My client, a well established London Insurance broker are looking for a Finance Manager to oversee all aspects of financial management within their organisation. This includes managing internal and external financial reporting, operational and financial control environments, asset and capital management, as well as revenue, cost, and profit analysis. The role requires providing financial systems support and commercially-oriented financial support and analysis for the business.

Day to Day of the Role:

Produce monthly management accounts, quarterly forecasts, and annual budgets with input from the senior management team.

Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Submit monthly reporting for Group Reporting on the TB and liquidity information.

Ensure efficient and effective accounts payable processes, authorising and paying invoices within appropriate timescales.

Review and authorise weekly BACS runs and maintain daily cash flow tracker and annual cash flow forecast.

Liaise with the bank on banking requirements and manage Secure Trade and PayPal accounts.

Communicate intercompany transactions and clear intercompany balances.

Contribute to the quarterly VAT return, ensuring VAT treatment is regularly reviewed and EC sales reporting is accurate.

Support the production of statutory accounts and be the main point of contact for the annual audit process.

Contribute to systems development to ensure finance and reporting requirements are met.

Liaise with Group Corporation Tax Return service provider for the annual tax return.

Manage and develop the Management Accountant and Accounts Assistant.

Provide support to the Finance Director and wider business as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong management accounting background.

Proficiency in Excel (pivots and advanced formulas).

Analytical approach with attention to detail.

Commercial understanding.

ACCA / CIMA intermediate or qualified by experience, with a sound understanding of accounting principles.

Highly self-motivated with the ability to work to deadlines under pressure.

Strong time management and organisational skills.

Proven people management skills.

Experience with system implementation.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Sociable and a strong team player.

This role is paying up to £60,000 + benefits and offers a strong opportunity to grow in one of the most lucrative markets.
