The team is heavily involved in a wide range of patent disputes, including infringement and validity cases, entitlement disputes, Standard Essential Patent (SEP) issues, and licensing disputes. Their work frequently spans international borders, requiring the coordination of litigation efforts outside the UK.
The Role
Our client is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate with 2-5 years PQE to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patent litigation and be comfortable working within partner-led teams, while also being able to take on significant responsibility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling various types of patent disputes, including infringement, validity, and ownership issues.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams on related matters such as life sciences regulation, competition law, and licensing disputes.
- Engaging in business development activities and contributing to knowledge management within the team.
- Depending on seniority, managing and mentoring junior lawyers.
Ideal candidates will have:
- First-rate legal skills and experience in patent litigation.
- A strong interest in business development and the ability to engage in client-facing activities.
- The ability to fit naturally into a collaborative and supportive team culture.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
