Company Overview: Newstaff Employment Services a leading logistics and transportation Agency with a strong commitment to providing reliable and efficient staff to our clients. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our team in Borehamwood WD6.

Job Summary: We are looking for a highly motivated and professional HIAB Driver Class 2 to operate our fleet of vehicles in the Borehamwood area. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of materials using a HIAB crane. The role involves a combination of driving, loading, and unloading duties, requiring attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle equipped with a HIAB crane, adhering to all relevant road safety regulations.
  2. Load and unload materials using the HIAB crane, ensuring secure and safe transportation of goods.
  3. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any issues promptly.
  4. Plan delivery routes efficiently, taking into consideration traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
  5. Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients and colleagues.
  6. Complete delivery paperwork accurately and on time, including proof of delivery and any relevant documentation.
  7. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.
  8. Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate efficient loading and unloading processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Valid Class 2 driving license with an up-to-date CPC and HIAB certification.
  2. Proven experience as a HIAB Driver Class 2, with a clean driving record.
  3. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and transportation laws.
  4. Excellent spatial awareness and maneuvering skills, especially when operating the HIAB crane.
  5. Ability to handle goods with care and attention to prevent damage during transportation.
  6. Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  7. Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks as required.
  8. Flexibility in working hours, with the possibility of occasional overtime.
