We are searching for Event Manager for our Event Company In Bury

A day in the life of...

As an Events Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of event staff and ensuring that events within the Bar/ Venue are executed to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Based in the newly refurbished and popular The Empire Executive Lounge, you will be part of a small team of passionate people who know that being the best doesn't always mean working around the clock.

What do we need from you?

We are seeking an experienced Events/ Bar Manager to oversee the successful execution of events at our venue. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Bar/ Restaurant & Venue, planning and coordination, as well as exceptional organisational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of event staff, including supervisors, food & beverage assistants, servers, bartenders, and other support staff. This will include scheduling rotas, managing absences and supporting in learning and development
  • Managing social media accounts
  • Booking of events and creating events.
  • Coordinate with clients to understand their event needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Work within the budgets and manage expenses daily
  • Manage event budgets and ensure that all expenses stay within the allocated budget.
  • Coordinate with all the staffs within the venue to ensure that all event logistics are in place, including stock taking.
  • Ensure that all events are executed according to established timelines and schedules.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all clients and guests
  • Troubleshooting any event difficulties, ensuring a smooth experience for our clients.
  • Holding pre & post event briefings with the team, and incorporating learning points into future shift planning and events.
  • Coordinating with the kitchen team and executive head chef planning and delivery of events.
  • Overseeing the management of onsite Audio Visual and non-Audio Visual equipment

Please note that this role is being offered on a part time basis. As such, you must be age 18 or over, and are fully flexible to work weekends and late evenings. We will not be accepting applicants who have no or restricted eligiblity to work within the United Kingdom.
