We are now looking for an Internal Trainer join our Peripatetic service on a part-time, permanent basis, working 22.5 hours per week.

The Role

As an Internal Training Officer, you will support the development of staff and volunteers by delivering high-quality training programmes. You will ensure that our services meet excellent standards for supporting women and children who have experienced domestic abuse.

You will plan and deliver a comprehensive internal training programme for staff and volunteers, using methods and materials tailored to the needs of the learner group and course content. This will include creating workshops and delivering accredited training to upskill our staff.

Leading on the assessment and quality assurance framework required by Open College Network (OCN), you will ensure that all training aligns with these standards. You will assist learners in producing portfolios of work suitable for OCN assessment and deliver tutorials to support their development.

Additionally, you will:

- Provide training and workshops that address gaps in knowledge and skills
- Oversee the monthly "Lunch and Learn" sessions, inviting external organisations to host informative sessions for staff and volunteers
- Maintain and enhance the quality assurance framework for all training programmes
- Carry out administrative tasks related to the training programmes
- Gather and analyse feedback from training sessions to identify areas for improvement and adjust training content accordingly

About You

To be considered as an Internal Trainer, you will need:

- Demonstrable experience of working in the Domestic Abuse sector
- Experience of needs led risk assessment, support and safety planning
- Experience of group training delivery
- A sound understanding of the practical, emotional, social and economic issues facing
women and children affected by VAWG
- Knowledge of safeguarding for adults and children
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of current safeguarding legislation, frameworks and procedures and practical application
