Azure Cloud Architect required to join our Fintech Client to work on an initial 6-month contract. The chosen applicant will be in charge of evaluating their current cloud infrastructure and offering strategic direction for their cloud journey. Strong architectural design skills and a thorough understanding of Azure (and AWS) are prerequisites for this position.
Principal Duties will involve:
- Cloud Estate Evaluation - Perform comprehensive evaluations of our existing cloud infrastructure to determine the advantages, disadvantages, and potential growth areas.
- Strategic Planning - Create and provide strategic strategies for the advancement of cloud infrastructure. Verify conformity with the aims and goals of the business.
- Requirements Gathering - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements. Translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Architectural Design - Create cloud architectures that are safe, scalable, and resilient. Offer best practices and architectural direction for cloud infrastructure.
- Security Proficiency - Adopt and supportbest security practices within the cloud environment. Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
We are looking for someone who has worked on a similar project with strong experience in working with Azure and ideally AWS.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure and AWS.
- Proficiency in infrastructure management and cloud services.
- Extensive experience in architectural design and infrastructure operations.
- Proven track record of gathering requirements and delivering solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Security-savvy with a deep understanding of cloud security principles.
This opportunity is an initial 6-month contract being offered on a mainly remote basis with visits to the London office required on an ad hoc basis.
