About the Role:

Academics is seeking an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term supply position in a vibrant primary school located in Frimley.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support and small group interventions for pupils with SEN.
- Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Develop and implement tailored learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress, adapting strategies as necessary.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, promoting their social and emotional development.
- Collaborate with the SENCO, teachers, and external professionals to ensure effective support for pupils.
- Help manage classroom behavior and support pupils in following school policies.
- Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in an SEN role.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with pupils.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the classroom.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable but not essential).
- A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
