Cedar are recruiting a Data Migration Consultant with a recently founded Financial Institution formed by the UK's top retail banks alongside the FCA. This is an outstanding opportunity for a migration specialist with Xero and NetSuite experience to lead the data drive and transform their systems landscape.
The role is outside IR35, hybrid working (1 day in the office only) and will be required until project completion (circa 3 months).
The duties/responsibilities of the role are: -
- Develop and implement data migration strategies and methodologies to ensure a smooth transition from Xero to NetSuite
- Collaborate with project teams to understand the data migration requirements and business processes.
- Analyse data from legacy systems and map it to NetSuite data structures and formats.
- Identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and anomalies, and develop strategies to for resolution/prevention.
- Extract data from source systems and transform it to meet NetSuite data format and quality requirements.
- Develop data conversion scripts and programs as necessary.
- Lead the data loading and validation process to ensure data is correctly transferred to NetSuite systems.
- Execute data migration tests, including data integrity, completeness, and performance tests.
- Implement data quality and data cleansing procedures to ensure data accuracy. * Develop and enforce data migration best practices to maintain data integrity.
- Establish data governance policies and procedures to maintain data consistency and quality.
- Document data migration processes, procedures, and issues for future reference and audit.
- Provide training and support to end users to ensure they can work effectively with the newly migrated data in the new system.
The ideal candidate for this role will be degree educated (ideally in IT or related subjects) have a proven track record of data migration particularly within Oracle environments (ideally NetSuite). The candidate will have strong experience in migration tools and ETL processes. Ideally the candidate would have also had experience with Xero in some capacity. This role will be a collaborative position therefore excellent communication skills will only be considered.
