Accounts Assistant | Maidstone (Office Based) | Up to £28K
Our client based on the outskirts of Maidstone. Is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join a part of their busy but small finance team. This role will predominantly focus on managing the purchase ledger and ensuring smooth running of the department.
Key responsibilities:
- Process supplier invoices and ensure they are accurately recorded
- Assist with preparation and process payment runs, ensuring timely payments to suppliers.
- Reconcile supplier statements and manage any queries or issues that arise.
- Maintain and update the purchase ledger, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
- Manage sales invoices
- Send customer statements
- Chase overdue invoices
- Take card payments
- Debtors list
- Cashflow forecasting
- Support the finance team with other accounting tasks as needed, including audits and financial reporting.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any payment or invoicing issues.
Candidate Profile:
- Excellent numerical and data entry skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Use of Sage 50 is essential
