We are looking for a suitably qualified Design & Technology Technician part time to cover for a long term absence.
Bexley Borough 'Good Secondary School' - to start asap
3 days a week - 6 weeks in the first instance and may continue longer
To work within a busy D&T department with a 'good' secondary school within the Bexley Borough.
The role will involve:
- coordinating the use of practical resources and facilities within the DT department to support the curriculum.
- working closely with teaching staff and students during lesson time
- assist in the maintenance and setting up of machines, tools and equipment for demonstrations and practical work
- maintain all hand tools to be in good condition and stored correctly
- Ensure that workshop machinery is regularly inspected and maintained
The post holder will:
- be required to operate and maintain workshop tools and will be responsible for testing new equipment.
- general maintenance of the workshop
- make sure workshop runs within health & safety requirements.
- A Workshop safety certificate is essential
