Data Analyst - Domestic Abuse Charity IDAS

This role is for a Data Analyst in the Analytics department of a not-for-profit organisation based in York. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing data, generating reports and providing actionable insights to support strategic decisions. You will be someone for whom STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT is part of your daily routine.

IDAS is a specialist charity with many years' experience of supporting and accommodating victims and survivors of domestic abuse.

IDAS offers a range of free and confidential services to help people cope with, and recover from, the traumatic effects of domestic abuse and other violence.

The support is open to everyone irrespective of age, gender, ethnicity, disability or immigration status.

Their services includethe provision ofdifferent types of safe accommodation, one to one and groupwork support in the community, and access to their confidential helpline.Services are accessible and inclusive and can be accessed byanyone living in North Yorkshire, Barnsley and Sheffield.

With a team dedicated to making a difference, they utilise data-driven insights to guide their initiatives and impact positive change.

Description

  • Engage with and influence stakeholders at all levels both in terms of reacting to requests and in providing training to ensure best use of the case management system to ensure the data being entered is correct
  • Analyse and interpret complex datasets to provide insights from a HUMAN perspective
  • Generate clear and comprehensive reports for various departments.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with GDPR.
  • Provide technical support to team members where necessary.
  • Be able to separate the numbers and trends within just the pure 'data' element of the role, and interperate these through a human lens; Be cognisant of the OUTCOMES for PEOPLE that is the measure of value in an organisation such as this.

The data is not just about the numbers; It is about how to leverage the insights it provides to ensure increased positive outcomes in people's lives.

Profile

A successful Data Analyst should be / have:

  • A solution focussed attitude to overcoming obstacles and the ability to support others to apply the same principles.
  • Ability to provide comprehensive and detailed reports
  • Good knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to make decisions based on evidence-based judgement
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
