We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter and Decorator to join our team. If you have a passion for delivering high-quality finishes and possess a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you!
This role involves working on a variety of projects, both residential and commercial, ensuring that all surfaces are prepared and finished to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities as a Painter and Decorator:
Surface Preparation: Stripping wallpaper, filling cracks, and sanding surfaces to ensure a smooth finish
Painting: Applying paint finishes to both internal and external surfaces using gloss, emulsion, woodstain, varnish, primer, and undercoat
Wallpapering: Expertly cutting and hanging wallpaper to achieve a flawless finish
Taping: Preparing and taping plasterboard surfaces to achieve a smooth base for painting or wallpapering
Health & Safety: Adhering to and promoting Health and Safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Time-Served Painter: Must be a time-served painter or hold an appropriate City and Guilds, Scotvec, or equivalent qualification in painting
Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in all aspects of painting and decorating, including wallpaper stripping, cutting, and hanging
Health & Safety Knowledge: A strong working knowledge of Health and Safety practices in the workplace
