Role Overview

Do you want to play a role in helping millions in the UK save for their later life? Nest Corporation is looking for a Panel Chair to be in charge of its Members' Panel.

As the Chair of our Members' Panel, you will be involved in providing clear advice and challenge from a member's perspective to Nest Corporation on the operation, development or amendment of the scheme. You will hold relations with key stakeholders within Nest, including our CEO and Board and ensure that the panel and panel members operate within its terms of reference.

This is an exciting time for Nest as we have embarked on a transformation journey seeking to make Nest more purpose-led and customer centric. We are therefore looking to recruit someone to guide the Panel through a period of evolution which supports the changes Nest is making as an organisation.

We are particularly keen to hear from you if you have experience chairing or acting in a leadership role on an advisory body, influential body or representative committee. Acting in the best interests of members is essential, as is a working knowledge of auto-enrolment from a members' perspective.

You should have significant experience in a senior leadership position and be able to influence and effect change, reflecting the views of a wide and diverse group of stakeholders

You should also have a clear duty to the seven principles of public life: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty, leadership.

Time commitment including meetings and reading time is at least 15 days a year.

Directorate/Department Overview

As Panel Chair you will be part of a small group of between 9 and 12 members that has an advisory role to Nest Corporation on a range of matters that affect the millions of members who are using the scheme.
