An established and highly successful manufacturing company have partnered with the team at NET Recruit in their search for a Graduate Quotations Engineer to join the team in the Glasgow area. Having built upon their success for several decades, the business now operates on a global scale, with presences in multiple countries and a growing client base, yielding year-upon-year return custom.

As a result, their recent successes have seen a growth in business and overall expansion in operations across the UK, and specifically in Scotland, and now they require another ambitious and passionate individual to join their team to ensure that they are able to reach their larger client base and continue this success for years to come, by working hard to understand the clients' needs, drive sales forward for the business and support the very successful Sales team.

Your Roles and Responsibilities

While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively handling incoming Sales calls and taking detailed notes to pass on to a relevant Sales Engineer
  • Assisting to create accurate and detailed quotations to customers
  • Selecting Technical Specs for Ancillary Equipment
  • Helping to produce Draft Quote templates and Draft Costings as and when required by the team
  • Evaluating Export Enquiries and administer where relevant to do so
  • Maintaining Technical Files
  • Ensuring enquiries are logged and distributed effectively internally to either Sales or Engineering, depending on which team is correct
  • Liaising with Sales Order processing as required
  • Attending sales and technical meetings when needed by the team

What you will need to Apply:

This excellent opportunity is ideal for someone who is looking to pursue a promising career within the manufacturing industry, and as such the company are looking for charismatic individuals who understand and have a strong grasp on the technical/engineering field. It would be highly advantageous for you to possess a Mechanical Engineering degree and any additional relevant work experience would be an aid. You need to have impeccable communication and customer service skills in order to effectively understand customer needs and then consequently build a quotation for them. You must possess a driving license for this role.

What you will get in Return:

For the successful candidate, a starting salary in the region of £30,000 is on offer, with the additional benefit of a bonus dependent on individual and company performance. You will also be entitled to a good holiday allowance and the company also offer a generous pension contribution.
