Experienced School Receptionist

We are seeking a dedicated and Experienced School Administrator to join a team of administrators on a temporary basis with the potential to become a permanent member of staff for the right candidate. The role involves a variety of administrative and reception duties within a vibrant school environment.

School Administrator

Hourly Rate: £14.50

Location: To be confirmed

Job Type: Temporary (until the end of Summer Term with potential for permanent opportunity)

Working Hours: 08:45 - 16:00

Start Date: ASAP, following a successful paid trial.

Day to Day of the role:

Undertake reception duties, including answering telephone enquiries, greeting visitors, and managing sign-in procedures.

Provide first aid and welfare support to pupils, including caring for sick pupils and liaising with parents and staff.

Assist in the organisation of school trips, events, and other activities.

Perform general clerical tasks such as photocopying, filing, completing standard forms, and responding to routine correspondence.

Maintain manual and computerised records and management information systems.

Produce lists, information, and data as required, including pupil data.

Undertake typing, word-processing, and other IT-based tasks.

Take notes at meetings and sort and distribute mail.

Handle routine administrative procedures and maintain and collate pupil reports.

Administer the school's extended services, such as After School Clubs, activity clubs, and school lettings.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proficiency in relevant IT packages (e.g., Word, Excel, databases, spreadsheets, Internet, SIMS, Parentmail, Parentpay).

Experience in maintaining stock and supplies, cataloguing, and distribution.

Ability to provide general advice and guidance to staff, pupils, and others.

Experience in general financial administration, including processing orders and invoices.

Awareness of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security, confidentiality, and data protection.

Availability to attend and participate in relevant meetings and training sessions.
