Head of Supply Chain

Posted by Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited.

Your new company
An iconic British manufacturer of luxury / high-value products. They combine engineering excellence with extreme luxury and performance. This is an opportunity to continue the optimisation of supply chain performance within this high-calibre company.
Your new role
As Head of Supply Chain, you will lead a team (approx 12 direct reports) who control Materials Management, Supply Planning, BOMs, Procurement and Logistics. The role will focus on process improvements as part of an ongoing drive for supply chain excellence, as well as day to day tactical responsibility, ensuring availability of materials for multiple manufacturing sites.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be proven in a similar environment, manufacturing complex high-value goods, and your CV will demonstrate relevant achievements leading to measurable improvements on key metrics. You will be accustomed to handling multi-layer BOMs, with long lead times and a complex supplier base. You will be highly collaborative, able to bring together teams and stakeholders across multiple functions to ensure the build plan is achieved with maximum efficiency. You will be familiar with ERP systems (eg SAP, Navision, Oracle etc), and have a detailed understanding of MRP and how to optimise system use, automating tasks where possible so that teams can focus on value-added activities. You will be a proven leader, able to motivate and support your team, and able to influence key stakeholders at all levels, both within the business and externally. Alongside these technical skills, you will be looking for an opportunity to make your mark on a business that already has an impressive track record.
What you'll get in return
Competitive salary (circa £80k), plus benefits. Please note that this is largely an onsite position, so while there is some flexibility around WFH, the role holder will be a presence on-site in Hampshire, and also able to travel to other manufacturing sites and suppliers.
