Marine Claims Specialist, Chelmsford
Are you a MarineClaimsspecialist with experience gained handling Hull & Machinery, Marine Liability and/or Ports & Terminals claims ? Are you able to deliver a concierge level claims service to our global clients both directly and via Aon's network of global offices ? If so, then we'dlovetohearfromyou in connection with this outstanding new hybrid role that carries the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Chelmsford office. Our Chelmsford operation is an extension of our City office and there will be plenty of opportunity to come into London on a regular basis for client meetings and team collaboration purposes.

What the day will look like
In this excitingrole,you'llbejoining an experienced team of specialist all of whom are keen to impart their knowledge, providementorship and help you become the best MarineClaimsSpecialist that youcanbe. Your key daily responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Claim advice: Complete claim notification form with all the information - notify the claim, subsequent advice and settlement to carriers.
- Carefully manage the claims negotiation process with clients, underwriters and or their appointed legal representatives and or loss adjusters
- Negotiate the payment and settlement of claims with clients and underwriters
- Engage, monitor and manage third party providers appointed by clients, underwriters or Aon (e.g. loss adjusters, lawyers, surveyors, engineers etc.)
- Coordinate discussions and, where appropriate, meetings to ensure superior level of communication between the client, underwriter and their representatives concerning the proposed settlement. Escalate to Senior advocate if required

- Experience of end to end claims handling within the London Market
- Experience of 2+ years in Marine Claims
- Experience of using CLASS & ECF claims processing systems
- Demonstrable negotiation skills
- Strongcommunicationskills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Outstandinginterpersonalskills
