International Case Manager

Mayday Assistance Ltd employs a multilingual team of highly skilled and experienced professionals who provide international medical assistance and repatriation services. We work on behalf of various Underwriters and travel insurance brands to assist policy holders who fall ill, become injured while abroad, or require any other travel or medical related help.

We have an in-house team of medical professionals and case managers on hand 24/7/365 to assist each policy holder with assistance tailored to their needs and circumstances.

We are recruiting for our office in central Brighton, however our Case Mangers work closely on a daily basis with other members of our Operations Department in our office near Malaga, Spain.

Job Title:

International Case Manager

Job Duties:

- To support and understand claimants' needs, to best offer professional advice and solve medical and travel insurance issues in an empathetic manner.
- Validating cover with third party insurers (i.e. issue/cover dates, excesses, medical screening, and optional cover add-ons).
- Liaise with hospitals, medical centres, and third-party agents (cost containers).
- Arrange international repatriations (i.e. taxis, flights, hotels, road ambulances, air ambulances, assigning flight medics). - Providing translation and linguistic services.
- Sending guarantee of payments (GOPs) to third parties.
- Ensuring claims are validated in line with the terms and conditions of the relevant policy wording.
- Monitoring and ensuring workflows are consistently maintained and up to date.
- Provide guidance and advice to less experienced International Case Managers.
- Other ad hoc requests as requested by Team Leaders, Duty Operations Managers, Compliance Manager, Senior Management, and Directors.

Skills Required:

You should be a highly motivated, results-orientated individual who is able to set, meet and exceed targets. You should have a strong customer focus and have an advanced level of English to be able to communicate with our claimants effectively both in verbal and written form. Work independently under pressure, proactively, and with minimal supervision with attention to detail. You must have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

We would prefer you be fluent with another language ideally Greek, French, German, or Italian.

Working Days & Hours:

This role is shift based, working 40 hours a week Monday to Sunday - Usually over 5 x 8 hour shifts of 4 x 10 hour shifts when available. All fully trained staff will be required to work some night shifts and weekends.

Salary:

£24,175 per annum
