This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects, develop your skills and experience and contribute to a company that values collaboration, transparency and inclusivity.</p> <h2>What You Will Do</h2> <ul> <li>Support the design, testing and implementation of firmware across the company's portfolio of devices</li> <li>Work on agile projects from initial requirements and feasibility to production and commercial deployment</li> <li>Design, develop, code, test and debug system software</li> <li>Review and improve design of existing code</li> <li>Ensure all code complies with industry standards, best practice and legislative/regulatory requirements</li> <li>Develop an expert working knowledge of existing products to provide post-development support</li> </ul> <h2>What You Will Bring</h2> <ul> <li>Demonstrated experience in software engineering and, more importantly, a passion for coding</li> <li>Solid programming experience in C, C++, Python</li> <li>Understanding of pre-emptive, multitasking real-time operating systems</li> <li>Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review</li> <li>Knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems</li> </ul> <p>This role requires a minimum of 2 years' experience, preferably 5, and knowledge of Continuous Integration, Unit testing. Knowledge of revision control systems (e.g. Gitlab) and Cloud Services (e.g AWS) is advantageous.
