Are you an experienced finance professional looking to join an established finance team?
We are working with a business who are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to play a pivotal part in the team ensuring all finance functions are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Job Role and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all purchase invoices are appropriately approved within agreed deadlines.
- Accurately code and post all invoices/credit notes.
- Ensure all payments are correctly allocated.
- Reconcile all purchase ledger accounts with supplier statements.
- Chase supplier invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
- Manage historic purchase ledger to investigate and clear debit balances.
- Set up bank payments for approval.
- Assist with the sales ledger, raising sales invoices for commercial waste and skip hire.
- Assist with credit control.
- Scan and file documentation.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as required.

- Strong team player.
- Effective communication skills.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Previous experience in a finance role.
- Understanding of accounting procedures and reconciliation techniques.
- Ability to process high volumes of work while maintaining high accuracy.
- Experience using an accounting software package and Excel.
- SAP accounting software experience is an advantage but not essential.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A can-do attitude.
Due to the remote location of offices, a car driver is essential.
Full time office based working.
