Head of Software Engineering - DevOps/Best Practice/SaaS
I'm working with an organisational with a well established hardware product, that's looking to drive huge growth across their software function. They currently have a small team in the UK and are supported by an off shore model, the vision is to transform the software capability and on shore the team. The business don't currently have software best practice, and so you'll be a leader who is comfortable implementing development best practice, drive cultural change and deliver impressive SaaS based products. You'll have experience of taking monolithic tech (including a chunk of debt) and modernising a businesses approach to development. This will include the transition to LEAN and implementation of DevOps and Test Automation best practice. You'll be adept at hiring and leading modern software teams, building high performing culture and nurturing talent. The vision is to have more app based content, implement impressive video features and utilise AI across their SaaS product. The tech stack will be Javascript focused and although this role is fully hands off, some knowledge of Node and React would be grand. In essence you'll be a transformative development leader, established in the world of SaaS. The business are based proudly in Rossendale, and are easily accessible from all of Lancashire and Greater Manchester. The role will need to be on site 2 days a week. The salary will be £100k plus some nice bonus incentives.
