Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly organised and proficient Engineering Administrator to support our client's production and procurement processes. The ideal candidate will have a background from engineering or manufacturing , with the ability to review bills of materials (BOMs).and creating technical instructions for production, as well as supporting the procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Administration:

  • Interpret drawings and bills of materials (BOMs) to produce clear, accurate production instructions.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes.

  • Update records with changes and ensure all documents are current.

  • Production Support:

  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure the smooth transfer of technical information to production teams.

  • Provide assistance to ensure correct implementation of instructions and specifications.

  • Procurement & Buying:

  • Support the Sourcing and purchase of components required for production.

  • Manage supplier relationships and track the timely delivery of materials.

  • Work with finance to ensure that procurement activities meet budget.

  • Administrative Support:

  • Maintain and update technical databases and documentation.

  • Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure smooth operations.

  • Prepare reports and data analysis for management when required.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Administrator, in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Excellent administrative skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
