Flooding and Resilience Officer

Location: Carlton in Lindrick

Salary: Grade 7 i.e. £33,945 - £36,648 per annum (pro rata for part time)

Hours: Permanent, Part Time - 22.20 hours per week (3 days)

The Council is taking a pro-active approach to reducing the impact and frequency of flooding in their district and they are looking for the right person to drive forward this vital work.

The Role

This exciting new position will play an integral role within the Bassetlaw Flood Partnership and the successful candidate will ensure that its programme of action runs effectively, by performance managing the delivery of its action plan, while keeping up to date with the relevant national policy and local issues.

You will also be a key point of contact in relation to flooding; engaging regularly with elected Councillors, Council departments, businesses, stakeholders, and residents to provide updates, understand local concerns and raise awareness of positive actions that are being delivered.

Skills and Qualifications

If you are a self-motivated, proactive individual with good interpersonal and communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and a real desire to make a difference to their communities, they would love to hear from you.

Whilst detailed knowledge of flooding is not essential, an understanding of the role of different agencies, funding programmes and incident response would be an advantage.
