1:1 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our warm and friendly school in Stoke on Trent, providing one-on-one support to children with autism and complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone looking to work long-term and progress within the field of special education.

Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with autism and complex needs on a one-on-one basis
- Assist students in their academic, social, and emotional development
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to implement individualized learning plans
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism and/or complex needs is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the unique needs of each student
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field would be advantageous

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
