Legal Secretary

I am currently seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join the Private Client team of this highly regarded law firm based in Sheffield. This is a busy and varied role where you will provide secretarial and administrative support to the Fee Earners within the team. The successful applicant will be an experienced Legal Secretary with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Duties will include:

To provide full secretarial and administration support including diary and outlook management.

Handling telephone calls confidently and ensuring accurate notes are recorded.

Having a proactive approach to supporting fee earners and the ability to carry out tasks with minimal instruction. This will include drafting correspondence and documents.

Planning ahead for fee earner meetings and ensuring any documents are ready for such meetings

Assist with booking travel, hotels when necessary.

Preparation of any presentation materials.

Competent file management and use of PMS and Imanage systems

Promoting the firm to maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues and external contacts.

Supporting fee earners to achieve individual objectives and objectives of the firm.

Working as part of an outer team to provide secretarial and administration support during holidays, sickness and busy times

Skill & Experience Required:

Minimum of 3 years working in a legal secretary role.

Experience in Private Client work is preferred

Minimum typing speed of 65 WPM (will be assessed).

Proficient IT skills - particularly Microsoft 365

Excellent communication skills, oral and written such that information is imparted efficiently and effectively at all levels internally and externally

Highly organised, able to prioritise, anticipate, plan and problem solve.

Adaptable, willing and capable of working flexibly and part of a team.
