Business Lecturer
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
An established further education provider In Derbyshire is looking to bring on board a full time Business lecturer to join their academic team.
Delivery will revolve around OCR level 2 & 3. Any experience/knowledge of T levels would also be desirable as they will be looking to deliver this from September 2025 onwards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive lectures on Business subjects, focusing primarily on OCR Level 2 & 3 qualifications
- Design and implement effective lesson plans that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities
- Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, exams, and other assessment methods
- Provide constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their academic goals
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the Business curriculum
- Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, progress, and academic performance
- Ensure compliance with the institution's policies, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A relevant degree in Business or a related field
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) is highly desirable
- Proven experience in teaching Business subjects, preferably at further education level
- Strong knowledge of OCR Level 2 & 3 Business qualifications and curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
