Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to provide day-to-day cover across our school. The ideal candidate will have experience working in secondary schools and possess a genuine passion for supporting students' educational and personal development. This role includes assisting in classrooms, working with students with varying needs, including those in our SEN unit, and supporting teachers with daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide classroom support to teachers and students.
Assist in the planning and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
Support students with a range of academic abilities and needs, including those with SEN.
Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Supervise and engage students during breaks and extracurricular activities.
Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to promote a positive school culture.
Perform administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
Experience working in secondary schools is essential.
Understanding of SEN and experience supporting students with special educational needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different classroom environments.
Overseas candidates must have a valid Overseas Police Check.
Relevant qualifications or training in education or support work are desirable.
