Are you an experienced Fabrication Supervisor looking for a new opportunity in Stoke-On-Trent? Workchain is currently recruiting for a skilled individual to join our client. This is a temp to perm position with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.
The Fabricator Supervisor will oversee daily operations in the fabrication department, ensuing that steel fire and security doors are produced efficiently, to the highest quality standards and within specific timelines. This role involves supervising a team of fabricators, coordinating workflow, maintaining health and safety protocols and ensuring continuous improvement in production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate fabrication activities within the workshop
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times
- Monitor and maintain quality standards
- Train and mentor team members to enhance performance, ensuring the efficient operation of Salvagnini and Trumpf punch and folding machines.
- Manage inventory and stock levels and implementing health and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with the management team
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in steel fabrication, ideally in fire or security door manufacturing
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in production environment
