Southwark Council is seeking two Building Control Inspector - Managers to join our dynamic team.

About the Role:

As a Building Control Inspector - Manager at Southwark Council, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of building projects across the borough. Your responsibilities will include overseeing building control applications for structures up to 20 storeys, ensuring they meet the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022 and Fire Safety Act 2021. You will manage technical tasks, enforce building control regulations, and provide high-quality customer service. Additionally, you will lead on dangerous structures services, liaise with key stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvements in building safety management systems. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on Southwark's dynamic urban environment while working on some of the most ambitious regeneration projects in London.

About You: We're looking for professionals with city experience in building control services who are ready to take on residential and large-scale projects. You should be qualified with RICS, CABE, IStructE, IMechE, RIBA, IFE, CIAT, ICE, or CIOB, and have a strong track record of continual professional development.

As a technical specialist, you'll be assessing plans, attending design and site meetings, and ensuring our building control services are top-notch. Your expertise will be crucial in sustaining our high-performance standards and contributing to our ambitious growth agenda.

Salary up to £58,197 pa. with 15% market factor supplement!
